November 18, Hüsamettin Aydın Freedom Day Panel

We held the “November 18, Freedom Day Panel”, in memory of my dear father, Hüsamettin Aydın, the founder of Nesibe Aydın Educational Institutions. He was one the greatest intellectuals in Turkey, who has written various pieces of short stories and poems on philosophy, anthropology, sociology and current economic and political developments, putting personal and social liberty at its core. That’s why, we wanted to commemorate his departure by organizing the Freedom Day Panels. The first Panel was on “Freedom, Institutions and Economics”, and many senior level bureaucrats, private sector and NGO executives and members of the press attended the panel. I was the moderator, and the panelists were Prof. Dr. Burak Arzova, Dr. Murat Üçer and Murat Sağman. The panelist shared their views on the importance of institutions and freedom in economics, and the current state of the Turkish economy. The panel ended with a dance performance and music concert prepared by the students and teachers of Nesibe Aydın Educational Institutions.

We, once again, commemorate our founder Hüsamettin Aydın, who devoted his life to enlighten the youth of this country, with respect, love and longing.
